Our Process
1. Discovery & Direction
Before any design work begins, we focus on understanding how you live, how the space needs to perform, and what success looks like for you.
This stage includes an in-depth consultation, ideally on site, where we assess the existing space, discuss your priorities, and establish a clear brief. Budget parameters, timelines, and constraints are considered early so the design direction is grounded and realistic from the outset.
2. Spatial Planning & Concept Framework
With the brief defined, we explore spatial options and overall layout strategies.
This phase looks at how rooms connect, how circulation flows, and how the space can be improved functionally and visually. Early concepts are supported by plan studies, reference imagery, and preliminary material directions to establish the overall intent of the project.
3. Visual Design & Material Direction
Once the spatial strategy is resolved, we begin developing the design in detail.
Using 3D visualisations and curated material selections, we test proportions, finishes, lighting, and key design moments. This phase allows you to clearly understand the look, feel, and atmosphere of the space before moving forward.
4. Design Resolution
Here, the approved concept is refined into a fully resolved interior design.
We finalise finishes, fixtures, fittings, joinery details, and any custom elements. Designs are coordinated to ensure functionality, durability, and buildability, with close attention to how everything works together as a whole.
5. Documentation & Handover
Once the design is fully resolved, we prepare a complete set of interior drawings, schedules, and specifications suitable for construction.
These documents are issued to your builder for trade pricing, coordination, and construction planning. Clear documentation at this stage helps minimise ambiguity, supports accurate quoting by trades, and ensures the design intent is well understood before works begin.
6. Construction-Phase Support
While the builder manages construction and trade coordination, we remain available to support the project as needed.
This may include design clarifications, site reviews at key milestones, and responding to requests that arise during the build, ensuring the finished outcome aligns with the approved design.
