The Palms Pool House - Beyond The Valley

A colour rich pool club nodding to the next step of evolution for Australia’s largest music festival

The Palms Pool House was designed to evolve the preexisting beach club experience for Beyond the Valley, taking it from a simple shipping pool containers in picket fencing, to a colourful, playful and fully realised activation. Conceived as a visually iconic destination within the massive 50,000+ patron festival, the project was created to bring a modern twist to the famous colour rich Pool Clubs of the Califoria and Vegas, whilst providing maximum exposure to the sponsoring brand.

Bespoke supporting structures and booths extended the Palms Pool House language into more intimate, human-scale spaces. Curved forms, soft colour transitions, and integrated seating created shaded zones for rest and conversation within the broader festival context, while assets such as the much loved Gage Roads branded swing were curated to provide photo ready zones for visiting patrons.

Each asset was developed to be adaptable and build-ready, allowing refinement through fabrication while maintaining clarity of design intent at scale. In collaboration with Greenspec Events, all structures were designed for re-use, prioritising longevity and sustainability beyond a single festival cycle.
